Room CheckPrivacy Policy
This privacy policy applies to the Room Check — Detector, Camera app (the "Application") for iOS, provided by Piotr Kalita (the "Service Provider").
Summary
Room Check does not require an account, does not track you across apps or websites, and does not show ads. Room checks, photos, findings, scan results and PDF reports are stored only on your device.
Data processed on your device only
To provide its features the Application uses, with your permission:
- Camera and flashlight - to look for lens reflections and to take photos of findings.
- Local network - to list devices on the Wi-Fi network you are connected to and check which ones expose camera services.
- Bluetooth - to list nearby Bluetooth devices and estimate their distance.
- Magnetometer - to measure changes in the magnetic field.
- Photo library (only if you choose a photo) - to attach an existing photo to a finding.
This data is processed on your device and is not sent to the Service Provider or to any third party. You can delete it at any time by deleting a check in the Application or deleting the Application.
Data collected for purchases
The Application uses RevenueCat (https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy) to process and restore subscriptions. RevenueCat receives:
- an anonymous app user ID generated by the Application,
- your purchase and subscription history,
- a device identifier for the app vendor (IDFV) and Apple Search Ads attribution token.
This data is used only to provide and restore Premium access and to measure purchases. It is not linked to your name or contact details and is not used for tracking or advertising. Payments are handled by Apple; the Service Provider never receives your payment details.
Data you send us
If you contact support by email, we receive your email address and the content of your message and use them only to answer you.
Advertising and tracking
The Application does not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA), does not contain advertising or analytics SDKs, and does not sell or share personal data with data brokers.
Children
The Application is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Data retention and deletion
On-device data stays until you delete it. To ask for deletion of purchase records held by RevenueCat, contact piotrkalita1998@gmail.com.
Changes
This policy may be updated. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
