Room CheckTerms of Use
These terms apply to the Room Check — Detector, Camera app (the "Application") for iOS, provided by Piotr Kalita (the "Service Provider"). By downloading or using the Application you agree to these terms and to Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/).
What the Application does
The Application helps you inspect a room for hidden recording devices using checklists, the device camera and flashlight, the local Wi-Fi network, Bluetooth and the magnetometer, and lets you save findings in a report.
No guarantee
The Application is a helper, not a guarantee. It cannot confirm that a room is free of recording devices: cameras on another network, recording to a memory card, switched off or covered may not be detected, and some results may be false positives. The Service Provider is not liable for decisions you make based on the Application's results. If you find a device, do not touch it, document it and contact the host, the platform or local authorities.
Free use and Premium
Each tool can be used once for free. Room Check Premium is an auto-renewable subscription that unlocks unlimited use of all tools, unlimited room checks and PDF reports.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- If a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless cancelled at least 24 hours before it ends.
- The subscription renews automatically at the same price and period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel the subscription in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
Acceptable use
Use the Application only to protect your own privacy and only on networks and in places you are allowed to inspect. Do not use it to access other people's devices or networks without permission.
Intellectual property
The Application, its design and content belong to the Service Provider. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer or redistribute it.
Changes
The Service Provider may update the Application and these terms. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
